Spiced Chaga: Healthy, Tea Infusion
The Chaga mushroom was unknown to the western world for hundreds of years until, Russian author and Nobel laureate, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn introduced it to the world. It has been appreciated as a natural remedy dating as far back as the 16th century, traditionally used by Eastern European folk as a medicine. Today, it is considered "The Medicinal King of Herbs", a precious gift from nature that draws its ingredients out of living birch trees. The amazing properties of betulin or betulinic acid, a chemical isolated from birch trees, is now being studied for use as an agent to cure some of today's most common diseases.
The Chaga mushroom is native to Western Siberia, Canada and USA. Some possible benefits include:
- High in immune-stimulating phytochemicals
- Supporting healthy inflammatory response
- Improving sleep and reducing fatigue
- Detoxifying the body
- Normalizing blood pressure
We serve Chaga as a tea infusion. We prepare it with natural spices, and serve it with black tea, brown sugar or honey and a splash of milk.
